Are they good? Is it worth the trip and where is best to stay? How soon after therapy call did your appointment come?

HiLise

firstly, Bibic suits some and not others. There is also the Dyscovery Cnetre which is a bit more expensive but linked to my my Uni. However BIBIC is far cheaper and at £50 a shot.... well..... worth a go.

We went there with both,Ilived pretty much in the shadow of it anyway so knew it allmy life, and through work at the time. We were really pleased with them. we eventually found it too much with two children and ds1 was getting rather angry with them about the GF diet sowe stopped going but our time there was very productive, not least for the incredibly usefulpages of reports they give you and the sense that peoplewereon our side- we started going before the boys had a DX.

It'san intensive fewdays, busy and tiring. You willprobably get time in the different play rooms etc though so not all the same. They'regreat with alllevels as well- good freiend takes her severely dyslexic child and has seen a lot ofprogress, whereas others have far more severe disability. they used to try to put your family in on a day with others similar, though not sure if they still do that. You see all therapists as a family, but there are usually 2 or so other famillies there at the same time.

Acoomodation-obv. we just stayed with Mum, but the villages of Woolavington,Puriton and Bawdrip are clos, eand the enarest town is bridgwater- some peopleon here have found somelovely B&B's I think.

im willing to try anything tbh. We would go with both our girls, DD1 has a def dx of HFA but DD2 is a bit of a ?. Its a long way from us so will def need a good base, maybe just take the whole week and do some fun family things too while there.

Thanks for info

Lots in the area- Glastonbury,Animal Farm at brean is good,Clarks Village at Street good for a browse as well and Devon / Dorset not toofaraway, or even S. Wales- it takes us under an hour to get there. It's a good base.

What sort of acocmodation? B&B type or wwould you be wanting typically holiday park,or hotel? They are all close by.

I think we may well stay a day or two extra after the trip, so might make a week of it, so a nice house/cottage to rent would be ideal
