Anyone want an ADOS test?

Had this sent to me from someone on an RDI forum - they are looking for children as volunteers to be used for people training to use ADOS test. I don't know if you need a diagnosis already though - presumably they wouldn't want a volunteer breaking the news:

Would you be willing for your child/young person to participate in training for practitioners who are learning how to use the ADOS test to diagnose autism?

The child/young person would take part in a practice ADOS so that the trainee professionals can get live feedback on their testing skills.

Families are reimbursed all travel costs and given a gift certificate (£20) and some feedback.

The trainer is especially interested in children under the age of 8 who do not have very much language (single word or phrase speech) for the morning of Wed 10 Feb or adolescents or adults who are verbally fluent (e.g. HFA or Asperger's syndrome) for the early afternoon of Thurs 11 Feb. Training will take place at Tavistoc Clinic, London. The latter is especially important because a lot of undiagnosed adults are being overlooked at the moment and can't get services at all.

If you are interested, please e mail me at info @ brightfuturesautism .com (no spaces)

Thanks

Zoe
