DLA mobility for turning 3

just been told by our nurse toady that if we put in for mobility they usually take your high rate care down to middle or lower rate any one had this done?

Not heard of this either - I understood they are separate. Dd2 gets higher rate for both too.

Again like Riven, we got HRC at 3 months and mobility at 3 so high rate for both.

ds got Hr care at 2.5 and i reapplied at 3 for moblity with Hv giving same warnings but we got Hr

trace2, can I just ask what sort of disability your DC has? My DS gets DLA at moment but think it's middle rate (he has CP, can't walk unassisted). I'll need to apply for mobility too I think.

Callieco no i dont mind but we not got a dx for her yet, she as lots of problems reason she gets high rate care is she never sleeps as some kind of seizures, and a feeding tube and apnoea, plus other problems too. whens your ds 3?

In my experience it's worthwhile asking your paed if you dc's DLA level is appropriate.

Ours wasn't but we had no idea at the time of the award, and she wrote a letter for us to have it raised to the highest level.

DS3 wasdroped from HR care to MR when given LR mobility (he badly needs HR mobility, causing usserious worries atm) but we weregiven it until 16 so amixed bag
