I got this last week (I wrote a piece for She about autism a while ago, and I talked to PACE then). I'm sure everyone knows about it already, but just in case...
Call on your MP to sign up to the Manifesto for Autism!
Parents Autism Campaign for Education (PACE) and the National Autistic Society (NAS) are on the advisory group of the All Party Parliamentary Group on Autism, which has now launched a Manifesto for Autism which sets out principles and objectives to deliver better services and support for people with autism, to be achieved in the next ten years. Many thanks to those who've asked their MP to sign up. If you support the Manifesto and have not yet asked your MP to sign up, please do so. The more signatures the Manifesto attracts, the more effective it will be as a lobbying tool to influence Government policies. Your MP can sign up by sending an e-mail to [email protected] with the words "I sign up to the APPGA Manifesto, or they can write to the secretary to the APPGA (Senay Camgoz, National Autistic Society, 393 City Road, London EC1V 1NG.) The Manifesto can be found at www.nas.org.uk/policy/parl/appga/manifesto.html
