Chicken pox AND maybe measles

DD (3, with GDD) is recovering from chicken pox. Meanwhile, DS (8, NT) has a mystery illness: high fever, aches and pains, could be the start of measles (although he has only the faintest rash). I never got him or DD the MMR: there was a lot of controversy about MMR when DS born, and when DD born they wanted to see if there was an immune system problem and once she got the all-clear I kind of never got around to it (she has had all her other jabs and so has he).

So I am worried on several counts: for DS, who has obviously got something even if it doesn't turn out to be measles, and for DD who might well have caught whatever it is on top of her chicken pox. She hasn't got fever but was quite chipper yesterday and now she's been asleep on DH for over an hour, very unlike her. I'm calling GP first thing but in the meantime, just wanted to say that old cliche, it never rains but it pours.

Trouble is with DD, she can't yet tell us what hurts, or where it's uncomfortable--we just get a sad little face and a big cry. She wouldn't pull at her ear or anything if she had an earache.
