DD's appointment

DD has 2 leaky heart valves that will at some point) need replacing. As one is at the top of her heart and one at the bottom it will be open heart surgery. It was picked up when she was 9.5yo. They are trying to wait till she's 16 as otherwise it will have to be done twice (due to growth). At her last scan they said it's got a bit worse, and to keep an eye out for certain signs, which she started getting about a week ago. She is getting severe painful pins and needles in her left arm and leg, at least once/twice a day this last week. She is finding it hard to breathe after any exertion, is more sleepy than usual. My GP when I spoke to him over the phone on Wed this week said to bring it up in appt with paed. Problem: No grit=no buses=no school for DS's. No way to get to paed appt. WWYD? It's not severe enough to call an ambulance to go to A&E, but too severe to just ignore till snow fucks off melts. She has also grown " inches since her last scan, and as her valves aren't 'growing with her' I have a feeling that it really IS getting worse.

I phoned this morning, and they're not providing hospital transport for outpatient appointments this week coming. Plus I can't leave the boys at home alone.

I don't live in catchment for DS's school, so no mum's nearby, neigbour is evil dumping own sn child woman Not normal/suitable to look after my DS's, and my family live 30 miles away and are also snowed in, but worse than I am (they live fairly near phoenix...) Taxi's....lol! the drivers aren't going into work, so there isn't any! I'm desperately trying to find a solution. Am thinking of offering a sacrificial lamb or my frozen lamb chops to the sun god RA to try to melt the f'ing snow!
