AS DS - What would you do?

DS is in last year at school and have come to the conclusion over the last month or so that he is quite AS like (lack of eye contact, likes routine, very keen on dope, alone a lot, takes everything very literally etc).

He is very down but doesn't want to talk to anyone about it and just gets angry with me if I try to discuss it. What would you do? I have sought external help but can't get anywhere without DS's buy in.

Its a tough one, if you can get him to see someone that would be great but its difficult to force him.

My step son shows signs of ADHD but his mum could get him no where near the GP so it was left. He left school last year and seems fine although i think he may have problems in the future (when he leaves sixth form and has to find work).

could you send him an email with a link to a forum that he could then go on anonymously to talk to others using an ID that you didn't know about? (you have to find an appropriate forum first of course but I bet there are lots out there for aspie teenagers).
Or could a teacher do this?

when a parent wants to talk to you in rl about what you're like it always carries so much baggage......
