proud mummy moment

hi all sorry havent been on for ages its been all go here

well i want proud mummy moment as you all know ds has ASD atypical speech sounds and will not poo on toilet

well he will be 5 end of april new yrs day we managed to get him to poo on toilet and poo fairy left him a game

we then made a poo chart with 20 triangles but every 10 poos he gets a ds game i stuck pics of games on chart

this morning he was crying with belly ache clenching etc and managed with slight force with words to get him to do his poo took a while he kept holding it i had to remind he had already done it if he has a nappy i'll have to take away his games as babies dont have games anyway he asked me to look away and poo'ed again im so pleased his really happy now as has 1 smiley face on his chart but its new yr and 2 poos on toilet already think maybe we can get there this yr

sorry for typos writing real fast back to school this morning

and he can now do b words ,s words, f words not swear ones he did by accident but whole other thread lol his speech is sounding so much better and clearer and still no SALT lol,

hurrah for the poo hopefully now he has done it a couple of times it will be easier. You mighyt be paying out for alot of games when ds1 was wee training he was going every 5 minutes so he could get a chocolate button i swear he was holding it and only doing a little.And good to hear about his speech, he soon will be learning the swear ones once he gets back to school .
ds1 is a nappy pooer as well he has gone on the toilet but it is when he is absolutely desperate and only mummy can be with him. He can hold on all day and has done when ill as well - he must have bowels of steel but when he has to go its like he is in labour.

yes ds is the same he has managed to hold for over a week thats why i had to give in with the pull ups he has lactulose and senna so will start using that every day if it wasnt so hard i think he would be happier to do it

i dont mind how many second hand ds games i have to buy lol but he has to do 10 poo's first and his reluctance to go even with the rewards is making sure it wont be as often lol its more a confidence thing i think he seems ultra sensitive in t hat area but was also proud of himself and his smiley face on the chart would just like him to be doing as his peers do it would be so much easier than having to explain all the time why we cant do something as he wont go and is in pain

his speech has come along great he was experimenting with sounds and added a f in front of bucket i did laugh lol but we did explain it was ok to say sounds but that sound in front of ucket made it a naughty word and he wasnt to say it lol

so proud though one less thing to lose sleep over

well he woke me this morning even though he had pull up on to tell me he needed a poo little bit of crying when i said lets go sit on toilet sat on floor wouldn't move so i put him on then said about the babies not having games and consoles so i would have to take them away then i said i'll look at the yellow stool and he just did it took hardly any time this morning

so proud new yr and 3 poo's on toilet already didnt get that all yr last yr the visual chart seems to have done it though he can see the progress

well we had a set back and he ended up really constipated so i dosed him up and kept reminding him to use toilet if needing it gets his 3rd smiley face towards new game etc he just wouldn't do it

gave him warm bath and popped a pull up on but asked him to go to toilet if needing it secretly just wanted him to go whether in pull up or toilet but really didnt want to go back to that again

anyway saw him running up and down and my heart sank all our efforts and now pooping in pull up but he came in threw pull up at me told me he hadn't pooped in it and went running off to toilet sat down told me to go away and pooped on toilet so happy really thought we were going back to pull ups again so he got his smiley face and i told him how proud i was he told me he was proud of himself too for pooping on toilet bless him
