Well after some great advice from you lovely ladies I called HV about DD2, it was a joke!!

I was told she had passed her 2 year check (although when given blocks linned them up in colour order), and so Im best to wait for her 3 1/2 check. I then gave them all the stuff about early invention practice and how is this good when a referal to CDAC takes 6 months so she would be 4years old before any input . I have been asked to come down to a busy clinic on a friday morning to discuss this but not before she said... wait for it.... "well some parents with older ones with ASD look for these things! sometimes theys ee whats not there"

She then went on to stay DD2 must be copying DD1 until I pointed out there is 5 years between them, that dd1 is out of her major stimming and none of the behaviors Im describing in DD2, DD1 does

Wish this was face to face so I could slap some sense into her, I am so and thin I will bypass HV and see GP

Lisad I would do exactly that, go to your GP, particularly if they are good and you trust them. Be your most assertive self, you will now be ready for the parents looking for it argument, and have some good answers lined up.

DS2's problems are not ASD but hopefully somebody will be along soon who can help more.

I would go to your GP and ask for a referal to the local pead. Don't leave the GP's until you get what you want . Waiting until she is 4 is too late.

The HV sounds hopeless!

Ds2 would almost certainly have passed his 2yr check if he'd had one. He still has AS.

I agree with the others. Bypass the HV and ask for a referral.

will get onto GP this week, feel like we should have our own seats there.
