Cold weather payment

Not sure if I have posted on the right board so appologies if I'm wrong

Direct gov website states that our area is entitled to a cold weather payment as we fall into the following criteria

a disabled child premium
Child Tax Credit that includes a disability or severe disability element

I just wondered if anyone knew how we would receive the payment?

It states that we don't need to apply but that payment would be issued automatically. I know that if on income support some people have received their payment today but unsure how it works for us as DH works and we get the disabled child premium on tax credits

I am on IS and I (think I) got a cold weather payment today. There was an extra £25 in my bank account today, anyway! Hang on it was my Child Tax Credits that was in my bank today??!! WTF? I dunno??!! (I don't get the disabled child premium on my tax credits YET)??
