I can't help as we still don't know what happened but this happened to my DD at 2.8..her speech has almost come back though

trace2 · 14/12/2009 19:06

how long did it happen for? does she have seizures?

It was as if she sounded like she was drunk and couldn't pronounce things. She doesn't have seizures but did have an EEG to rule out having them in her sleep (it was clear but she didn't go into a deep enough sleep so it's still a possibility).

She is 3.2 now.

FanjoForTheMankySocks · 14/12/2009 19:20

sorry, she was 2.10 when it happened and is 3.2 now, so 4-5 months.

i was just FanjoForTheMammaries before Xmas.
DD's speech isn't great,as she has ASD, but it's clear again.
The only theory we have heard was from her SALT, who thought she was starting to think about what she was saying and finding it hard.
If your DD has seizures i'd think they will do a sleep EEG though.
I hope paed is helpful, I know what a worry it is.
