Making a complaint about school - how far do you go?

I made a complaint about a short stay school ds attended for a couple of weeks, basically they are set up for behaviour problems other than autism and refused to change their system to accomodate him (he has high functioning autism).

I have complained to the lea who sent me a wishy washy reply which mentioned nothing about my compliant. So I wrote back and have just received another letter which is equally wishy washy, only longer.

Ds is no longer at that school but the reply I have received is rubbish, they have not taken me seriously and as far as I can tell are perfectly happy that they have no provosion for autistic children in his situation in the whole of our county. I am fuming, partly want advice about whether or not it is worth writing to ofsted and partly just want to rant.

Have you thought about contacting the Equality and Human Rights Commission. They have a web site, give advice on the phone / emails, Free. They are really good.
