off school !!

Having a vent as the behaviour team advised me to keep my naked, incontinent, DS off school as they had ran out of time to continue with his behaviour protocol.
For those who don't know him, he hates school and hates getting dressed.

How for you at them not having time! Surely they should make time! Is he statemented?

Surely there is a legal right to education ! If you have to cope at home, why can't they cope at school when there are so many more of them !! Sorry if I've picked this up wrongly but this sounds ridiculous!

That is ridiculous, don't they have a duty of care to provide for your DS.

PS How was disney, last month?

Surely it's their duty to be looking to get him extra help? I don't know what your next course of action should be, but I hope someone comes along soon to advise you.

Hi son is statemented and in special school with 1 to 1 support. Behaviour team is coming to my home to help homecare get him dressed and out to school as the worker has changed. Instead of having 1 regular care he now has to deal with 4 different members of staff.
As he wasn't dressed and on the school bus the behaviour team advised to keep him off as they had to be elsewhere for 9.30. They are only out next week then it's down to us.
So will see what happens, thanks all anyway, take care.
PS Mitchell81 we were thinking about going to Disney 19th to the 23rd ofthis month but hubby is now a bit wary with the weather, son gets double pneumonia every Xmas sometimes having a stay in on Xmas day and with his heart and lung probs is getting worried so it may end up a last minute thing but thanks for asking.
