Wow, I can't believe it. I have got DS into a coat which fits.

The secret? Star Wars iron-on patches from H&M. They also do Spiderman.

That place is made for my Star Wars mad Aspie son!

V. pleased for you. Am trying to get DD out of last year's coat as it's got a bit small!!

Oh well done! Coats - well new cloths in general are a nightmare for ds too!

That's fantastic news!

I had similar issues with my 6yr-old a few weeks ago so I can sympathise with the general nightmare of new clothes.

It's funny the sneaky things you have to do.

Rather than start a new thread - can you advise me on hand me downs.

I saved loads of Ds's things (specifically bought so they could be used for DD too) but whenever I try to dress her in them he gets really upset and yells that it's his (I'm amazed at his memory). This recently resulted in a trip to the park with him wearing a hoody that came up to his elbows haha.

Well done! We have also had some clothing breakthroughs, culminating in voluntarily wearing wellies this weekend.

With new clothes, it helps immensely if there is a label in them that says "4" (his age). He then accepts they are his!
