Can I recommend this book to all those parents out there who are being told they can't get their child statemented, don't know if they can apply for a statement etc.
The Parent's Guide to SEN and Disability Discrimination in School available froms:

Highlights the problems parents face in attempting to get their childs needs recognised, identifying adequate progress what an IEP should contain/moving onto next stage etc. through to statement and the blocking strategies LEA's use to prevent parents from gaining adequate support or a statement for their child.
Not cheap £36 with p&p but worth it.
