my son has dcd, his old teacher was great with him but has taken a years sabbatical, the new teacher doesn't seem to have a clue, my son who has no road sense is just sent out of school without anyone checking we are there, one main symptom of his diagnosis is that he cannot process one or more short instructions at a time and today in his report it said he must listen to instructions more, she has never attended a meeting regarding his care and i ave never been invited to discuss things with her, am i over exaggerating or should i demand a meeting, don't want to come across as being over anxious as my son likes his teacher and is happy in school.

Hi Lea

Sorry - i don't know what DCD is

Does he have a Statement? If so his new teacher should have read it and known of his difficulties?

Would certainly ask to speak to the SENCO at school about it.
