Hi Jo

Thought it might be easier to start a new thread!

Sounds like you've had many challenges to face. Lack of information doesn't help does it?

My son is 6 - nearly 7. The diagnostic 'pathway' here is through the community paediatrician who refers on to the consultant paed at the hospital who then refers on the Child and Family Services.

In the meantime we have seen SALT and OT.

CFS have been absolutely and completely useless. The worst type of useless - whingy and self-justificatory to defend themselves.

I can CAT you if you want to talk further??

I'm suprised the hospital paed has never mentioned this to us....well not that suprised really i guess !

My son see's an O.T and Speech Therapist regularly at school.

Would be great to chat further sometime (i have CAT on here),i don't know anyone in this area with a child with asd. I moved here 12 years ago but due to my daughters illness i've never managed to make many friends as i've spent much of those years in and out of hospital and juggeling my other children.

I've wonderd if i should ask about my son having a formal diagnosis or if gdd and speech disorder is his formal dx as they've never made anything clear to me. I've found it all about as clear as mud lol and have just muddled through the best i can.
