First Chams appointment tomorrow, what to expect?

DD has first cahms appt tomorrow and i am wondering what they will do? I thought they would talk to me first before seeing dd as she listens to everything i say and can play on it, will they take her out whilst they talk to me?

Our first appointment was a 'history' taking exercise. They went through DS's development, asked questions about what he was like as a baby and discussed some of the current problems.

It was a gateway appointment I think, to see if DS needed to be referred for further assessment.

Different areas do it in different ways so you could ask to check before you go in.

I rang and toild them that I might have to talk in private if DS was listening and when this happened I left the room with the psychologist.

This wasn't a problem.
