AIBU in thinking the GP should not write dd of

my gp is lovely so this surprised me......
dd is due to have her HPV jab next week and I am planning tobook her in for her swine flu jab, so got dh to double check that it was ok for her to have both in the same week......
gp said that he couldn't see the point in her having the HPV one as she won't be sexually active...........
how does he know??

people with less movement than her who are, surely better to be safe than sorry.

I would guess your GP is thinking of minimising the stress of the jabs for your DD and thinks that one is better than two. However, I also see your point and I think it is unfair, and rather insensitive, of your GP to make that assumption.
Personally, I would ask for DD to have the HPV. As you say, you never know what the future will bring and it's better safe than sorry.

The GP was probably well-meaning but I agree with you that he's wrong to decide that she won't ever be sexually active. How can he possibly know that?

Good on you for insisting that she gets the HPV jab anyway.
