Sooo, how was your half term?

Ours started off well, probably because we managed to arrange 2.5 days respite out of the first 4, but today took a def turn downhill and I will be glad to see the back of him next week! He spent today acting like a spoilt brat, and I'd have happily disowned him at legoland!

I think I'm finding it hard, because usually he is better behaved away from school, but maybe this was too short a break. Now relaxing with a glass of wine.

Not stunning tbh. Hd some nice things planned- skateboard lesson for ds1 / ds2 (prior to Christmas gift), trip out to cardiff,walks to park etc but ds1 hasn't yet come down from the chamge of routine zone and will be back next week to start the new term blues.

Argh.

Thats wt I'm worried about - was really looking forward to him being a bit more relaxed and back to his more normal self, only for him to be a little bugger all week, then the back to school problems next week!

Hellish. Puke at the start of the week followed by the most manic bounceback we've ever experienced. DS2's been having screaming fits, too as he's been trying to put on layers and layers of clothes and getting them stuck and not letting anyone help him. We've all done too much shouting and we're all mentally shattered.

So far so good here! Pretty knackered from keeping them all entertained though. We've got a busy day with the in-laws tomorrow, nice folks but not too familiar with our little ways. I just hope it isn't one activity too much. DS1 (ASD) has soooooooooo much energy but poor DS2 is flagging from being dragged around the 'wear out DS1' activities.

quick, went away until tuesday so she was busy, wednesday 1.30- thursday 1.30 respite and youth scheme today. so all fine

Oh Riven, you sound like you have had a really hard time of it. I don't know why the extend holidays like that. They'd do much better using the extra days throughout the year so you can have the odd break without having to fight the crowds. Hope things pick up.

My boys have been ill all holiday. DS 1 is always completely wiped out by any bug. DS2 handles it much better (annoyingly ill but demanding and bouncy) whereas DS1 takes to his sick bed.

We managed to get out to a couple of theatre trips (including Bob the Builder -aaargh the expense of it!)but not much else. We have a Halloween party tonight so that will mean major excitement/overload here too.

Not looking forward to the return to school and starting the settling in all over again.

Have got school meeting on Wednesday and collecting SALT's report Monday in preparation for it so things might start moving.

Peaceful here. DS14 and DD6 like being at home and NT DD16 is old enough to organise her own entertainment.
Back to school monday which will signal a huge downturn in ds's behaviour once he realises that he will be coming home in the dark and soon going to school in the dark.
DD will be happy to be back to school but grumpy every evening as a result.
Roll on the next holiday

Here its fiorst come firsts erved for MS (which is fair enough because when I rmemeber to worry in March they can hardly turn round andsay sorry after all trom someone who p[aid weeks ago), but SSd run Sn ones if you can get them to asnwetr the phone to give you a place

Ah same as ours then, well it does August but no non-summer days

They do ahve another but its non-secure- the boys could just wander off and they wouldnt be allowed to stop them. Pretty useless to almost everyone I know tbh.
