Picked DD up from school this evening, she looked me in the eye and said "We went to the swimming pool."
So, reporting something that has previously happened, correct use of pronoun, correct use of past tense. Not to mention actually saying something meaningful .
Only on here will you understand...

I'ld add a separate category on there of "wiling to communicate anything about the school day" - well done to your DD

Yeah, and this is two days on from "you went on the slide today" so not correct pronoun that day but, like you say, actually telling me something that happened!!
