Hi

I haven't comeacross these people as an organsisation but I can think of a few reasons:

  1. part of a general multidisciplinary assessment- many kids with asd have motor issues etc
  1. It may simply be where the OT is absed and a general referral for help with sensory issues
  1. It might be about the concentration- although a good many 4.5 year olds don't concentrate about pen holding. It is, after all, boring until it comes naturally.

I wouldn't panic (but can understand), however if you are worried how about a call to the GP?
