had to laugh today, was picking ds1 from pre-school. Told him it was time for lunch when we got home so he signed bread, cheese and teddy crisps the yummy sitting next to me was looking at him and asked if he was deaf, I explained no he has asd and speech delayand so he uses some signing. yummy - Oh how old is he? me -just turned 3.
yummy - oh my ... started talking when he was 11 months as if she just didnt hear what I said. ds1 did the age old sign of tugging on his winkle so i asked him if he needed a pee ds1 nods so off we trot to the toilet just as yummy was handed a bag of wet clothes whilst beig told he has done it twice today so he has no clean clothes in his bag. well it made me laugh.

well done, that's made my day too. I was talking to my neighbour a few days ago about dd2 and ASD, she asked about behaviour problems (assumed all asd children are naughty), the next day she was in front of me at nursery picking her son up and was called in because her nt son had been violent to another child.
