About to sign up to something that will ditch all chances of being a homeopath and put me on the road to academic research into autism.

I've given in; the pull has been too great.....

Sounds good, Jimjams...sounds VERY good. Is it?

Jimjams · 02/06/2005 23:34

Think so - I met up today with someone who works in the area of language development in children with autism and DS and he suggested this route..... It looks good....

well you are the resident expert on here, so you might as well get paid for it in RL. Good luck and well done!

Jimjams · 02/06/2005 23:37

Not sure I'll get paid for a few years

It sounds really interesting - and not just because it is so relevant to your family life - and important, too.

Jimjams · 02/06/2005 23:43

It's a vocation

RnB I keep trying to persuade ds's ABA tutor to go and get certified for RDI

Like being a nun?

I'm really pleased for you Jimjams - you were in research or something scientific, before, weren't you?
I can see you being brilliant at this - and more importantly, fulfilled. (as a researcher, i mean - not as a nun )

Jimjams · 02/06/2005 23:47

A nun... now there's an idea

PhD in Biology before Blu.....

that sounds great - interesting how life changes us... thought about owning my own bookstore - you know one of those - coffee, comfy lounges, read away and feel welcome. Thought about doing my masters - have a B.A. - thinking about looking into special needs in early childhood sort of subjects...

unlike you jj though - not taken the next step!!

wish you well....

Davros · 03/06/2005 21:11

Wonderful Jimjams, you sound excited! Better than homeopathy, you can buy that off the shelf
Hijack - watched Lost In Translation again last night, told DH I would ask you what the advert director and photographer are actually saying in Japanese to Mr Bob Harris (Bill Murray), as he gets about 5 words from the translator but they are gabbling away.

coppertop · 03/06/2005 21:14

Woohoo! Well done, Jimjams.

Are we allowed to ask what you'll be doing or is it a secret?

aloha · 03/06/2005 21:46
