dd and the clapping bear

Just wanted to share a small moment. The other morning I had dd in bed with me. She picked up her teddy bear, gave him a cuddle, then clapped her hands and THEN MADE HER TEDDY BEAR CLAP. It was such a small thing but it felt incredibly significant - the beginning of imaginative play? projecting a personality onto her bear? First time she has ever done anything like that.

Then this morning she also made him wave bye bye.

It was just so lovely to see her playing with her toy in the way that any child would... never knew if she would have that capacity.

Wow, that's fantastic! Seriously, I think that is a major developmental step. You must be so happy! You'll be playing tea parties then when you want to put your feet up
