Does anyone have any tips on preparing for the new school year for a child with possible AS?
DS (6) has a book from school with photos of new teachers and classroom and some of the kids he doesn't know yet but he is soooo nervous .
Sometimes, last year, he would get really nervous about going in and cling to me and I want to have a system worked out for dealing with this that is agreed with the teachers.
I have suggested I will take him into his cloakroom and thta he could take a favourite toy or book. We have also been going through the book school did.
Any other tips?
