Hello Marmoset and supersoph and anyone and everyone else.

As the last thread seemed to slip away, I though I would start round 2.

Had hideous few weeks work wise that have made me seriously consider whether working full time with three children including a baby with downs syndrome is really viable for anyone that doesn't have superpowers

But the DS's are doing good. Baby ds with ds is fabby - saw him do a push up with his arms today like a little strong man and he is doing a great line in 360 degree turns. He has got a lot more vocal and if he is with the childminder - has even grasped the art of eating

How are you and your little angels all doing?

Hello fizzy - all well here, although that's probably because i'm still on ML. I'm sure it is a double edged sword, staying off for a year and that I'll have to be dragged back, kicking and screaming 'but how will I get it all done!!!?' I have got used to a nice relaxed routine...

Are you finding juggling all of the appointments for the littlest one tricky? They do settle down after a while but the first year was pretty busy for us and I wasn't working then. Could you even go down to 4 days to have a catch up day or even to a 0.9 contract whereby you get every 2nd Friday off as a friend of mine did? She went p/time by inches and is now down to a 3 day week - i guess it depends on how amenable the employer is.

I have started filling up the deep freeze though and dd goes for her nursery settling in next month so the return to work is beginning to become a reality. Part , part keen

Yes - you have got it right, it is mainly all the appointments that are hitting me the hardest. I take Thursdays off already so ds can do portage or the toy library but now he has physio and SALT appts too.

I think it is also a prob that my jon sometimes means I need to work more hours - just had a big project to complete which meant working 12 hour days anyway and it has all just got a bit much. But its done now so can relax for a couple of days. Earlier this week, I was contemplating having another baby to get some more time off work. .

Hi fizzy - I'm going down to a 4 day week, although I'm pretty sure that it will be 5 days squeezed into 4!

12 hour days - yikes - that is tricky to work around family life. Glad you've got some breathing space - I take it that the Moses basket will not be getting filled again right away after all ?

I feel very Martha Stewart-ish with my freezer but if I run out of time/inspiration, there's always M&S on the way home!

Meant to say - ds sounds as if he is doing really well . Eating for the cm - typical!

I am doing the 5 days into 4 malarkey. I knew I would end up doing it and if I wasn't being paid for it knew I would be resentful.
Think I am going to give it a few more months to see if it really is do-able whilst maintaining any sanity I still have

We have had a right result today. Alex ate an entire petit filous without spitting out a drop .

Excellent news on the petit filou - funnily enough, i have had similar success with dd this week who now takes a whole Little Stars yoghurt at a time, instead of 2 spoonfuls here and there.
Should we ask for a 'bitter and twisted' emoticon - sort of red and purple with steam coming out of its ears?!!! i've got a feeling i'll be needing that after a month back at work.

Hello - have i killed off this thread too? Is supersoph still lounging by the pool? Is fizzy's littles prince still scoffing petit filou and non-contactable? Hellooooooooo! Where are all the ladies these days? Sunning yourselves as waiters bring large mojitos, I hope!

My little prince is exactly that - little! There I was thinking such progress had been made with his eating, smugly took him off to get weighed only to find he has slipped off the normal weight chart (I know, I know, I shouldn't even be looking at that chart) and has slipped to the 25th on the DS one ( I know, I know, that isn't bad at all).

So the little goose is now being fed 3 meals a day whether he likes it or not!

as for that Supersoph - WHERE ARE YOU!!!!!

Ah yes, I know all about the weight stuff. Of my 3, I've got two tiddlers and one big one. Every time i think dd has put on a pound, it turns out to be only a couple of ounces. Weigh ins are much more fun when you have a big bruiser!
Ds1 has been off the DS charts for years but has started to edge back up towards them. He stuffs his face but i add in extra calories where possible - double cream, marscapone cheese and olive oil are god additives to sneak in!
