Motability payments question

I picked up our motability car two weeks ago, and dla was paid today. I assumed that since we've only had the car two weeks, I would still be due two weeks mobility componant of the dla, but they've take the whole 4 weeks of the mobility. Is this right?

They take everything from the moment you get the car! At least, they did with me! Phone up and ask.

The salesman who sold the car said they should start taking from 4 weeks after, and I was a bit at that, but was hoping for a slightly higher bank balance this week!

Just in case anyone else has this issue, the DLA actually made the payment for the two weeks seperately, a few days late.

they did that with me too with my first mobility car altho i sort of knew i was getting it as i knew when they were stopping the payment by the date they stamped on the form you take to the benefits office.
