I have this friend
we met through our dc's
her ds is in the same class as dd.
I have enjoyed being friends with her.
met up for lunch and in school holidays.
our ds's got on well which was a bonus(near in age)
but well she has gone cold.
twice I Have sent stuff into school for either her ds(dd's friend, she has 2 ds's)
and once for her dd's(she has 2)
not a thank you, not even an email.
I organised lunch this week, as luck would have it I include a couple of other mums, she told me at the very last minuite she couldn't make it, no phone call, no email(saw her at school)

I'ld leave the ball in her court with regard to arranging any future socialising etc, just say hello/goodbye etc at school and wait for her to make the first move.

that is what dh said.
so how do I make new friends with the other mums?
this is all a bit of a mystery to me.

oh and think is I know she won't, so it will be the end(bit dramatic)

I am useless at school mum friendships, the one good friend I made first moved schools and then moved to Scotland (I think it wasn't just got get away from me ). I think if you watch for the signals that someone wants to talk, looks a bit lonely, then you can spot someone who wants friends and isn't perfectly nice but just busy busy busy.

I really hate bad manners like that - I dont know what it takes for people to say Thank-you. I recently gave some of DD's clothes to a friend of a friend, I gave her the bag and explained what it was. she just said 'Oh Right' - I would rather give them to someone who was grateful for them or the Charity shop!

there is no excuse imo,
I once gave a friend a black bag of dd's clothes, she had told me about her friend who was going through a really hard time.
the girl was there and said a big thank you to me(she did not know me) so if kids can do it.......
