DS2 called me Mummy - so happy

He had a sharing assembly at school- in front of 200+ children and parents. I was pretty happy - he seemed much more relaxed than last time, didn't sit with his fingers in his ears and although he only poured some sand and held up a rock (scenery for Three Little Pigs Story) he was very alert and, for the most part, engaged with what was going on. As they were leaving the hall he suddenly caught sight of me and I saw his lips form the word 'Mummy'. He then came closer, stopped and said it again - this time I heard it . We're supposed to sit and wait until they've all gone out but there was no way I was going to do that when he'd just called me Mummy for the first time ever - so I leapt up and went with him!. No-one minded - they were all delighted.

It has absolutely made my day.
