Have found it! Something that dd really really loves

she really loves it. Even going as far as to getting on all fours and reaching out for it (not seen her attempt this in about a year), rolling over to it and licking it, laughing at her reflection in the tiles

its like a magnet for her. Think the holy grail is the mock pieces of coal. She's rabid for them!

bit confusing for ds - spent last few weeks telling him no walking along the hearth / messing with the coal. Now dd has got in on the act we are delighted! (she's been able to roll for years but rarely does so - she tends to stay sitting wherever she's put)

Obviously wasn't that impressed with our last shabby fireplace
