Two month limit for sendist appeal

My request to assess for a statement got turned down, the letter was dated 27 March. I'm afraid that I got stuck in the doledrums and couldn't face the thought of appealing so I left it at that.

Anyway, over the weekend I looked over the forms again and thought I ought to send it off but as it could only arrive by tomorrow (27th) does that mean my two month limit has already passed?

There is something on the SENDIST website about being able to request an extension to the time limit. DS was excluded from school in the same week I received the letter and he's had to be home educated since then (as there was no place in PRU) so I wonder if that might be reasonable grounds to request?

But if I send it today by registered it would definitely reach them by tomorrow - but I suppose two months from 27 Mar must mean it should have arrived by today? I'm kicking myself...

Oh, I've just noticed that I can send it by fax. If I faxed it today, that would meet the deadline wouldn't it?
