Statementing advice

DS1 is due to start school reception year in Sept 09. We want him to go to special school and hoped to have statement in place very soon. However, LA are dragging their heels and haven't done the draft statement which should have been completed by 17th April. I have phoned and emailed quoting legal stuff and asked parent partnership to have a word with them but have got nowhere. We really need them to get a move on to make sure Ds can get a place in the school. What should I do next?

haveyou spoken toipsea or sos sen i think its called from my understanding they had to do it by law so many weeks after you first asked unless you missed appointments to see anyone

I did tell them that Phoenix but they said because there was late advice from the Pead that it delayed everything. There were no missed apts.

I managed to speak to someone today who said they are in the process and to expect it next week. Will wait and see.
