I know she went over to the Disabled Parents and have posted there too. But has anyone heard from Amber since? Just wanted to check she is okay.

I was wondering about her too. I hope the break is doing her good, but really hope she feels strong enough to come back when she's ready.

Just thought we all got something from her posts and maybe we could offer support if/whenever she might need it. Seems a bit strange just letting her go like that....

I was hoping that Amber was lurking but not posting, but still 'there'. Her posts have really helped me too, I hope she knows that

Found her, see over on the disabled parents board for AmberLight....

Not hiding, in case anyone's worried that I was. I can't reuse the same name on mumsnet if I leave and come back so have a slightly different one.

Not rejecting the kindness and help or advice that people have offered, in case anyone was worrying that I was.

Just 'running on empty' still and only really have the visual brain systems working at the moment, so not sure I've had a proper chance to understand everything or that I'd cope back on SN now.

Have lost 'me confidence, folks.

Bit like when you've spent decades trying to swim one length of a swimming pool and finally you can do it and then all of a sudden you think "oh hell, there's deep water under me and I can't swim!". That's what it feels like right now. Just need to watch for a long time from a bench with a towel wrapped round me, really. And see if I cope with very small places on mumsnet/very 'visual' places.

Please please don't be cross.

Wishing you well Amber. I am certain no one is cross - just concerned for you!

May have found a bit of a solution from my faith. Not sure.

Lovely to hear from you Amber, I like the new name too!! Pop in and have a cuppa with us when you feel up to it.

This is all the fault of my spiritual guide/autism-friendly 'counsellor' who said that if I get totally scared out of my wits (never more than ten times a day if I can help it), I should offer each occasion as a prayer to God. Never thought of doing that, and for me, it's helping. Though of course I'm not saying that would necessarily help anyone else.
