hello......not been about on MN for a while (RL stuff intruding, plus I have been ill).

quick Q regarding my DD3 and her meds.

how long did it take for your DD to get used to the medication?? and do you give her any supplements on top??

DD3 is still having a few tummy probs, (we are just starting our 4th week), and not enjoying it. she is better than she was, but not what I would say 'ok' (IYGWIM).

I have started her on pro-biotic tablets (begins with an A, and needs to be kept in the fridge, but forgive me, I am upstairs snuggled up and don;t wanna move to find the nameblush]). should I think of something more/extra/instead??

oh, and the swine-flu issue. are you jittery?? I am panicking slightly with regards to DD3, but assuming (hoping) that they will do the health-restricted first with vaccines etc.

apart from that, hows you???

hi pyscho
was a ealy night last night since ds been waking at 3am,

Sorry to hear you been ill hope you are feeling better ,makes everything 10x harder

OH and the swine flu dd is already been given tamilflu as has been couple of cases localto us .

Not sure how your dd responed to her vacinations but dd had all teh routine ones and they have failed to take at all despite several repeats so shes completely unprotected .I live in dread of anything like measles , chickenpoxs puts her in hospital every year when it does the rounds.

Took dd about 2 months to get used to meds but it is the only oral one she can tolerateso . fingers crossed dd should feel better soon. How shes doing with the blood tests .And yes i do tendto give d a multi vitaminon top of everything

Were all doing ok here though dd is fighting a cold due to change in weather so am waiting for first sign of it slipping onto her chest and be staighton phone to her paed we bypass the gp totaly as found they had little understanding of her illness.

If you look on my profile theres recent picture of her to look at her you would not know she gets so ill though her size is a clue shes tiny think 106cm at last check

If Im not around try my email [email protected]

, just spotted your reply..........thankyou.

blood tests have finally stopped for now. we have an appointment with her consultant in august, so guess I hear new plans then regarding when the next bloods will be/if they will be.

glad to hear your DD got the tamflu...........we haven;t had any cases down here yet, but I assume then that DD3 will be called up for hers then at some point. she has the flu-jab anyway from the GP, so I am guessing that it will be the GP again?? (she is due to go see them tomorrow or thurs anyway as they want to see how she has been so far on the meds........will ask then). is it meds or a jab the tamflu???

vaccinations-wise.......some didn;t take properly, so they were repeated in a different format. Chicken pox never took, and she is still at risk, and in fact she too gets ill every time it does the rounds, altho thankfully now she is that bit older she doesn;t land in hospital anymore. in fact, she hasn;t actually been admitted since she turned 7, so we have had a nice long stint (fingers crossed it continues).

the last lot of vaccinations she had was a pnuemonia one, and that had to be done in hospital as she is at high risk of siezures. Pondering now about the flu ones actually, she had irritable hip the last time she had one, and that was actually 2yrs back! she missed last winters for some reason................not sure why now. will have to investigate.

your DD looks very cute similar to my DD3 with the curly dark hair. she is not far off the size of my DS2 tho. he is 7 in july and last measure was 110cms, altho he has grown in the last week so I could be way out with his height now!! DD3 used to be teeny tiny................then she had her tonsils out and started to make up for lost time. she is now taller than the older two were at the same age, and is already in sz4 shoes!! she will be tall I reckon, so thankfully for now her illness isn;t holding her back.

right, gotta run...............I need to take my antibiotics ((bluegh)), and need food to take them with. catch you soon

oh, my email is [email protected].
