I don't have any experience of it but will bump this thread up for you to see if anyone else can help.

hi there, just seeing this now. i went for our disco last friday, but we didnt do it privately. i live in northern ireland and was told that if we went private the findings wouldnt be recognised by the school etc? anyway the disco lasted about 2 1/2 hours and i was asked lots of questions about my dd from birth up to the present day. the answers are like muliple choice and depending on the age of your child, that will determine the type of questions. my dd is 10 and is currently being assessed for aspergers. after you have finished they should be able to say what they think and if they need to do further investigation. my dd has now to do an ADOS and see the salt and ot and ed phy as well, its a long lonely road im afraid but i have found a lot of help here, it also helps to know that you are not alone.

what age is your dc

DISCO was used with 2 of my DC's...agree- 2-3hrs of questions going right back to pregnancy/birth- so may be good to have your 'baby record book' at hand.

Thanks.

Ds is 2.11 and we have already had the SALT and PAED assessments done. This is merely for the dx.Are doing it privately for peace of mind as currently looking at a 40 week waiting list on NHS which we will also undertake when it comes around.
