off to CAMHS today with DD

for the 2nd part of the ASD assessment,the first part was last week when she was visited in school, -although she said nobody came in

so please send me positive vibes as this has been going on since 2005 trying to get her dx,d.

Good luck with today. It sounds like your nearly there . I am assuming a positive diagnosis would be a good thing (?).

Good luck. They may have wanted to observe her in as normal a day as possible for her so wouldn't want to make themselves known in the school.

hi, i think it went well,we didnt go in with her,she spent 45 mins with the consultant and another doctor.

we are to go back in 2 weeks for the result, DD said they chatted about friends and she was allowed to draw a picture at the end.

they did observe her in school last week but dd obv didnt notice as she doesnt usually notice people who arent in their usual environment, i told the consultant about dd being left on the toilet last week and she looked very concerened and said we need to have a meeting which will be arranged after half term when the (hopefully) diagnosis will have been given.

and to top it all ive had a letter from the headteacher,he is narked cos we complained about dd being left on the toilet,he says the lsa,s job description doesnt cover toileting and administering medication, but i cant be bothered dealing with that today,ill reply to that tomorrow!!!

All this waiting for a diagnosis, that must be hard to cope with.
