Babbling in Makaton (Part 2)

DS5 has in the last couple of weeks started requesting!!!! YAY!!

up till now hes only 'named' things, but so far has asked for: apples, strawberries, car, a sausage, drinks and to play on the slide. Hes even started to ask "where" things are! an explosion of communication!

And although i cant be certain, i think he verbally asked for a lolly, it had a lot of 'n's in it, but he signed lolly at the same time.

SO INCREDIBLY PROUD MUMMY!!!

originally i was hoping for single spoken words by 5 or 6, not counting chickens of course, but secretly keeping fingers crossed that it might happen a little sooner - but no pressure. Yayyy! go my little man!

not over indulgent at all hell ds start making something that sounds like words expect me on the rooftop with megaphone

DS5 doesnt usually make that many sounds Phoenix - I was running hot water over the lolly moulds to get them out, and he was frantically signing 'ice cream' and sticking his tongue out to signify licking it. When he got more and more irate (probably thinking i was washing them down the sink, he started making a noise - so it came out as a 'nnn' noise. I think it shocked him too TBH, and he made the noise a few more times. by this point hes practically scaling the cuboard to get to it, to hell with signing! and then i had got the lolly freed out and gave it to him.
