Just read your farewell post and am so sad.

I have 'stalked' and not posted on mumsnet lately, scared to post.

I am not diagnosed with AS, but am certain i do have it.

Alot of your descriptions of daily life could have been written by me.

I too, upset someone on here- totally unintentionally a couple of years ago. (probably more than one)...and to this day feel it was my failure to word my post correctly.

It is a shame that there are many of us who do have a valuble contribution to make... but who become scared to speak for fear of 'getting it wrong'....

Soon we will be sued for giving 'inapproppriate advice'

so amber... DO go to the SN PARENTS threads...

I have OCD diagnosed and have found a niche on those threads and in the Mental Health section.

I'll look out for you!

I'd just like to add I've just 'discovered' Amber. My DD has NF1 and as she's got older she has started to exhibit more and more Aspergers 'traits', so I have found Ambers posts, as first hand experience, incredible interesting and informative.

So thank you and I wish you well.

mum23ASD I am so sad that you are scared. I hope I haven't scared you. I will go to the sn parents board too.

If I have a gentle thread with me on it here, maybe we can be there together and with anyone else who's not feeling brave enough or diplomatic enough at the time to manage the other things? Would that work? I'll start one in case it does.

People said they didn't want me to leave, and so I have to trust them really. If they did, they would say, wouldn't they? because I'm no good at working out double meanings. But I do panic and try to run away, which is not one of my best things.
