dd went of to school all happy today as she was going on a school trip.

I went up the dump and didn't take my mobile.
the nurse checked her emergency bag and her pharalahyde went out of date monday(we haven't used it in 2 years and even her pead said she no longer needs it, she said that in front of one of the nurses)
an yes you guessed dd has been kept a f ing school
I am so angry they got DH and he said she didn't need it, but cos she is written up for it they had to have it.
even when it is out of date it is still fine for a couple of weeks.
so poor old dd has be punished.
I am furious

Oh bl*dy hell. And it's far too early for gin, too

Sending you a cuppa

misscutandstick · 08/05/2009 10:53

OMG nooooo! that is awful! poor DD, you have every right to be fuming - especially as they already rang and confirmed with parent that it was OK. GGGRRRRR on your behalf!

magso · 08/05/2009 11:00

Poor dd! Pity something sensible could not have been sorted out!

jennybensmummy · 08/05/2009 11:05

could you pick her up and take her to where the trip is anyway and follow them around so as far as she is concerned she is pretty much on the trip? i guess its probably too late for that now though. IM nto suprised youre fuming i would be too bless her

2shoes · 08/05/2009 11:09

jennybensmummy her school is about 30 mins away and then it would take 15 mins to get her and load her and then however long to take her and park, by then she would have missed so much, also no way would she want me there(she is 14)
the nurse said, oh she is ok she is in with another class doing fun stuff!!
dd is not silly ffs, she will know she has missed out, plus the class will do follow up work next week, so she won't be able to do that. and she took a packed lunch which she was looking forward to(ok they can give her that)

oh poor dd

where were they going for the trip? could you go over the weekend?

then at least she will be able to join in when they do follow up stuff in class.

but still not the same as going with school, so still very for dd.

HelensMelons · 08/05/2009 11:16

God, 2shoes that's a big disappointment. It's all red tape isn't it.

I hope she has had a bloody good day doing "fun stuff" and I hope she enjoys her packed lunch too. I hope she wasn't too disappointed.

Almost time for a gin I think.

TotalChaos · 08/05/2009 11:16

that's crappy, surely for arse covering purposes, they should have just let you write down you were OK with her going without the pharalhyde.

jennybensmummy · 08/05/2009 11:20

oh didnt realise she was that old, sorry, hope she does have a nice time in the other class today and the teachers, nurse etc all realise when she is upset about it how nasty their decision was, i too cant see why they wouldnt just accept that she doesnt need it so no problem!

2shoes · 08/05/2009 11:20

good news
she has gone
at this moment she has a driver and escourt taking her there, she is probally do ing a royal wave
(oh and I have emailed the pead to have the sodding stuff taken of her drugs chart)

jennybensmummy · 08/05/2009 11:29

2shoes · 08/05/2009 11:30

silverfrog · 08/05/2009 11:33
