Proud Mummy Moment from me

DS did his French spoken exam today. We'd practised like mad for it, and this morning I was so tired that I couldn't do the final bits he wanted so ended up just doing pictures for him, which might not have been very useful

But his teacher says she thought he may have done well enough to get a basic pass if he can do his other exams the right way. Since his brain just doesn't 'do' languages, this is such a huge achievement

And yesterday he also said the whole English alphabet without making a mistake. He's 16, and it's taken him this long to be able to do it.

Now we have to try to get him through a month of other GCSE exams, and anything could happen in those. But I'm hopeful that he'll be ok.

That is fantastic Amber, and French oral is really hard, I can still remember mine 100s of years ago!

well done your DS!

i understand your pride, its well deserved. Im not sure DS1 could manage his alphabet just yet - he can now just manage his D.O.B. but has to have his phone (landline) and adress on a card in his wallet.
