Oops. I am new to this mumsnet and now that I have posted my message - I can't see the names of the schools.

THey are Blossom House and Centre Academy in South West London

Depends what needs your child has? I thought Centre Academy was for Adhd and Blossom House for communication/S & L/asd type difficulties.

I was just trying to find out more about the ambience and expertise of the 2 schools. Has anybody on this site got children that go to either school and could let me know their feelings towards it?

Sorry - really tired. Not quite expertise but professionalism of both schools.

I'd also be very keen to hear if anyone has any feedback on the Centre Academy... has anyone any experience of it?

I looked into Centre Academy as our EP suggested it. It started off as a specialist ADHD school but now also takes mild AS, dyslexia and dyspraxia as well. It has SALT input and a good pastoral care, but can't deal with challenging behaviour - so not suitable for my DS. They have the option of doing the US high school diploma instead of GCSEs, which can be better for those with AS.

From my impressions, it tended to take more academic pupils than Blossom House.

Both were full for next Sept for Year 7 - Blossom House didn't really look at our papers as they already had a long waiting list.

After sugar`s advice we also contacted Blossom house for sept 2010 and were told they were full and that our DS 11 was too low academically -2b- he has severe SLi
