Do you just ignore screeching ?

My son (4.5 ASD) is now going through a screeching phase. He did it at playgroup this morning as a toddler came up to to investigate (he does not like toddlers and babies - too unpredictable.) and I got looks from all around. I just ignored, but what are your tips for managing it, if any ?

ds has a very high pitch squeal when hes happy or excited .Me i just ignore it, its part and parcel of him and lol least i can track him by sound if nothing else

tyres - DS2 did this all the time until the age of 4.5 and has just started again (5.5) its soooo wearing eh.... I totally ignore it - my DS2 doesn't understand 'no' if i told him off so there is no point.
