Wow..what a fab experience....I am an OT student hence me going, and I am sure many of you, that need equipment, etc....are aware of the exhibition and been to one in the past etc....
I was so amazed by some of the Equipement, and whilst much comes with a high pricetag, there were some very impressive things, which weren't as extortionately priced....!
Also attended a session on Sensory Play, which was just fabulous and which I really liked because the speaker was a friend of "homemade" equipment and gave tips on how to make equipment from simple everyday materials and things....really fab!
And well...the canine partners...now they are just simply amazing...such clever animals, fabulously trained and what a difference they make....
Also had the opportunity to try out a wheelchair and take part in a session of wheelchair dance activity....I always knew that you needed to be very skilled to manouver a wheelchair, but it was fabulous to be able to try it out in such an activity, it was nice as the groups were mixed and there were everyday-wheelchair users participating, making us , that normally don't use a wheelchair look daft
