DS2 hates children crying - I mean, really hates it, covers his ears, tries to run away etc. After school today his friend was crying - he went up to her looking concerned, tried to wipe her tears away and then kissed her on the cheek . He has never shown any sympathetic reaction at all before. Amazing and wonderful! .

I realised after a few seconds that I was holding my breath!

The girl in question is a lovely friend to DS2 - she's very engaged with him all the time, without being too much 'in his face'. It's lovely to see that her friendship with him is being reciprocated.
