Well no, don't actually. But to put it another way, gosh I'm rather surprised. DD1's Incredible Performing Bed arrived. Organised, ordered and paid for by social services.

Should have posted this a while back but the week it arrived we were a but swamped - DD1 was hospitalised Tuesday, bed arrived Wednesday, I had a miscarriage Thursday. Busy, busy. Things (and I) a little calmer now so have time to post Bed Porn for your titillation. Yes, it goes up and down at the touch of a button. DD2 thinks it's some sort of (very slow) fairground ride ...

Very sorry about mc. Bed looks amazing. Who makes them. Am very jealous

LadyFio · 21/04/2009 18:15

oh that bed is very stylish! love the quilt too, did you make it?

Sorry about your miscarriage x

r3dh3d · 21/04/2009 18:38

The bed is made by SAVI. They're fairly bespoke - there are a few base models but then you specify all the bits and it is made for you in a factory in Germany and shipped over.

The quilt - alas, I am quite capable of making it and probably could have made it in the time I spent looking for it and other fripperies online. But it's from Laura Ashley. It has some lacey bits and things appliqued so though it isn't properly "sensory" it's more interesting than most.

Sorry to hear about your mc

am liking bed very much

springlamb · 21/04/2009 20:34

Wow, some bed.
Sorry to hear of your other troubles.
DS's bed is quite hi tech. We often find small children have been encouraged to climb into the space under the mattress and then had the bed lowered onto them.
DS is not very into small children.

springlamb

r3dh3d · 21/04/2009 21:15

A lad after my own heart, springlamb. Fortunately for local small children (including - in fact especially - DD2) I haven't yet worked out how to get one under the mattress space.

No. Don't tell me.
