Hi mumsnetters. Is there any one out there who has a child that has mild ADHD. ?????? My 8 year old ds may have this. We saw the paed psychologist and she think he does prob have it mildly. He is now being refered to the paed psychiatrist who may be able to confirm it. He is now at a private school in a class of only 11 so it has been picked up . I hope there are some other parents who i can share the same with. ?

Yes Malteser

My DS2 is waiting for an assessment of ADHD he's already been dx with an asd. Haven't got the appointment yet. DS2 isn't an extreme case but it does impact on his schooling - he finds it difficult to sit still, walks around the classroom - high activity levels I think they call it. Oh yes, and he loves to climb over the furniture, swing from the curtains, etc - he's 8. It's never dull in our house!

The main symptom with my ds is not listening and thus not giving you an answer.... drives me potty.. but now i understand why . He is just like his dad who we do not live with anymore. Also my ds likes climbing ... on anything. And can happily pull something apart... new toy or anything. So many toys have been ruined for no reason....nice ones too. He can also be aggressive . Apart from all this he is a Chorister in our local Abbey and can sing beautifully !! He is bright and reads and spells very well.

Sounds bit like my DS2 - although, he was so exhausted yesterday from his comings and goings over the easter holidays he took himself off to bed at 6.00pm and slept until 7.00pm this morning! He was starving when he woke up!
