Is any one elase finding it a bit odd now it has moved, seems very quiet and well......not the same

ill be on for a rant later so it wont be as quiet then!!!

i find both the old and new one hard to get my head round im not being rude by not being on im just struggling with them especially as my time is limited on the internet with seeing to ds i usually end up on here

I am struggling with it, I'm afraid. I never use my google email(all emails go to hotmail) so have to log on separately to read the TTR emails and I find I just don't have time.

I promise I will try a bit harder to join in though -it's such a good group.

maybe we just need to go back to the old one, but re jig it so it is more user freindly.
for istance if people go to home page and click on veiw all they will get a whole page of posts rather than just 3
(talking on here so we get new people)

i got the impression that it was a kinda 'invitation only' kinda thing...maybe thats why its quiet?

I've posted several times on there and they haven't appeared. Guess it's playing up, but I wonder how many people have had the same experience?

2shoes, don't try to build any redesign or moves round me - whatever is tried or not tried just takes me a long time to adjust to. It's entirely my own problem, not that of a web designer/group owner.

What really helps me on any site is the smilies, as I know that I can get 'tone' very, very wrong accidentally so I'll try to remember to or if I mean those things. And any site where people have different names between one site and the next makes it impossible for me to adjust. I can barely remember one identity for a person and don't want to embarrass me or the other person by getting things wrong.

I haven't been able to get on it since I first registered. I've forgotten my password and when I ask for a reminder it says that it has no record of anyone with my e-mail address registering for google groups. I'm hoping I'll remember the password eventually (last time I forgot one it came back to me about 3 weeks later ).

If someone on there is able to see my profile could they tell me whether I registered with a yahoo e-mail address? Pretty please?

I waved my magic wand

It's really weird. Last time I got an e-mail saying:

We searched our database but we were unable to find any usernames associated

I prefer the google one, only been on it a few times though. Keep forgetting about it and never really think my opinions are a good contribution tbh. Will try harder.

I tried, but it said I wasn't allowed in the group, despite going in via the link. I also sent an email to you, 2shoes, but it might not have got through, because I didn't get a reply.

i have saved the discussions page in my favourites so when i click on it, it goes straight to that page rather than the home page and i can see the full topic list and its more like mumsnet, IYKWIM
