not sure then, could health visitor do it? not sure if you can do it yourself or not though but maybe if you ring a different hospital and ask to be put through to child health and explain that youre under a different hospital and want a second opinion and ask how you go about it maybe they will be able to tell you as they know youre not criticising them if that makes sense, whereas obviously the current hospital wont tell you how to do it. im in a battle at the minute as you may have seen on my post and want to ask to change to a different hospital so if i found out before you do ill let you know! someone is supposed to be ringing me back tuesday about my complaint so i can hopefully ask them then!

I was just going to suggest HV. My DS2 got referred to CDC though HV as GP didn't listen to me at all.

Have you got a good HV?

jennybensmummy · 09/04/2009 21:51

or do what i did for initial referral, the hv was stalling saying see what he is like in another month etc etc so i went to gp and said that hv wants to refer but is off for 2 weeks and i dont want to wait as am worried could he do it, and i was suprised but he did ha ha hv was very puzzled why the gp did as i never said why he did lol

worth a try cant do any harm, or try ringing pals and asking them what the process is as a second opinion is essentially that youre not happy so like a complaint so maybe they know what to do?

think im going ring hid orginal paed and mention thaat i have concerns and maybe use the fact that yes in know he has delay of 18months 2 years but think there is something more going on with fact he has no speech and he never babbled either as child so hes way way behind on that
