Chessington update

Just to update on the changes for getting a disabled pass at Chessington's, we went today and had no problem with getting a pass. I had the lad's blue badge and a rather general NHS review letter which quoted him as having profound autism. So it seems that any offical letter which mentions the dx should do.

We had a really nice day and he really enjoyed himself, with lovely wether too. I was personally gratefull that we didn't do the local option of a zoo built on a massive hill!

Oh, I went last holiday for the first time in years and thats what put me off! I forgot just how hilly it was and it wouldn't have been so bad if going up hill first so haven't had walked miles already. Luckily the child I took was not too much of a runner.

By any chance, when you went did your DS have a major buggy which was mainly occupied by a picnic box?

hi were looking at chessington for our local sn group day out .the exit passes are they only for asd type dx or pysical as well and do they allow other nt sibblings exit passes to as for example i have 1 sn but 3 nt kids and cant split myself in 2

They can be used for other disabilities Phoenix, as long as they cant physically queue or understand the concept of queueing. See here for the original coversation about this.

As for allowing someone else to have a pass, they would not allow that but upto 3 people can accompany the disabled person on the ride.

It was a long shot, but I thought back to it as can remember this lad being a runner and they seemed to be part of a small group.

Another sucessful day today, this time by using blue badge and SEN statement.
